Perhaps it's extremely easy and the best way for you.ģ. As my main machine is a Mac, I'm not that good in playing around with Windows, so I don't know what you have to do for that. Install the software on Windows 10 and fiddle with compatibility mode. Install an older Windows (XP for example) in a Virtualbox, plug the scanner into your PC and pass the scanner through to the XP in Virtualbox. There seem to be three ways to use that scanner on newer systems:ġ. The cd I got with mine has Silverfast 6.2, I don't know what Windows versions it supports. I don't know about the Silverfast license. This means there is no plug and play for these scanners without additional software. Plustek doesn't provide drivers for the 7200 for Windows 10, only for Windows 7 and older. (Yes, there are some annoying white lines in the scan, I still have to figure where they come from.) Leica CL with Summicron-40 - APX100 new - D-76 1+1 - Plustek 7200 and some Lightroom (Of course I could have bought Vuescan, but previous tests showed that the Vuescan results were not as good as the Silverfast results using the same scanner.) Pass the Plustek USB through to the Windows XP in Virtualbox. ![]() iso files as Virtualbox would not read the CDs directly and mount. ![]() ![]()
